ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Susan!

I am a stage 4 ovarian cancer survivor with experience in all the emotional ups and downs a cancer diagnosis brings – from the surgery, the chemo, and the worries about family and an unknown future to the stress of waiting for test results.

I get it, all of it. But here’s what I know to be true.

You might not think you have a tomorrow, but you have today. My goal is to show you the way to hope for a tomorrow, and for the next day, and the next, and the one after that. I want you to make today count while you are looking at tomorrow, no matter what the doctor and test results say.

Hope is a tangible thing. You might not think so, but when it surges through you when you grasp it by the tail, pull it in, and embrace it, the feeling is as real as the world around you.

You smile more. You laugh more. It puts a skip in your step. Your load is lighter. You are able to enjoy the moment.

I’ve been in your shoes … felt the pain, thought the thoughts, cried the tears. I’ve struggled and cajoled and pleaded with God. I even got mad a time or two. But when I settled down and focused on the one solid thing I know to be true – that my hope is in Christ – all that ugly faded away.

I want to share that with you.

This is a family-owned business. My family has been touched by cancer, as has yours. This is why we do what we do. And I hope you get a blessing out of it!

Susan
